Joint Renew Camp

This fun and free program is an ideal way to learn what you need to know about joint replacement surgery at HSHS Sacred Heart or St. Joseph's hospitals — before, during and after a procedure.

Joint Renew Camp is designed to help you be informed on your decision and to help you with your recovery. Our goal is to get you back to what you love to do most.

Topics covered include:
  • preoperative guidelines, including what to pack
  • an overview of your surgery, so you know what to expect
  • anesthesia
  • pain control
  • medication
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • discharge planning
  • recovery after your hospital stay
Who should attend?

You, as the patient, and the person who will be helping you at home after your surgery.  You  should plan to attend the Joint Renew Camp two to four weeks prior to surgery.

How to register 
  • Anyone considering joint replacement surgery is welcome to register for this free program, which is held on Thursday's from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital.
