Every gift to Friends of Sacred Heart Hospital is tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law and is used in its entirety - as directed by the donor - for the benefit of the patients and families served by our hospital. Donations of any size are joyfully given and respectfully accepted anytime during the year.

There are several ways to give to the hospital, including:

Gifts of Cash

The easiest way to make a gift to the Hospital is simply to write a check made out to Friends of Sacred Heart Hospital.You may also use a credit card for either a one-time gift or to authorize recurring changes to your credit card. Rather than one larger gift that is sometimes harder to offer, a smaller amount will be charged to your credit card on a monthly basis generating a steady income for the fund of your choice at the Hospital.

Memorials
Memorials are a special way to honor the memory of a loved one. They are given at any time during the year and in any amount. The names of those honored each year appear on a special full-page ad in the newspaper on Memorial Day weekend. Loved ones are also memorialized at a special service held each season in the Chapel followed by a reception at the hospital.

Honorariums
This is a special way of saying thank you to someone who has made a positive impact on your life. Often donors choose to honor their doctor, nurse, therapist, pastoral caregiver, technician or any other member of the Sacred Heart family. You may express your gratitude by sharing a gift in their name. They will be proud that you honored them in this special way.

Century Circle
Founded in 1999, Friends of Sacred Heart Hospital Century Circle was established as an annual giving program. Gifts can be made at various levels and are unrestricted, being used in areas of greatest need. Over the years, essential programs and equipment needs have been met in key areas of the Hospital thanks to this reliable source of gifting. Grateful Patient
A patient's grateful appreciation can take many forms. From kind words of praise toward a member of the housekeeping staff, to the bear-hugs our nurses receive on a daily basis, Sacred Heart patients give thanks for the care they receive in a variety of ways. Monsignor Edmund Klimek Endowment Fund
The Friends of Sacred Heart Hospital is proud to announce the establishment of the Monsignor Edmund Klimek Healing Presence Endowment Fund. In honor of his 40 years of service to Sacred Heart Hospital, the hospital is paying tribute to Monsignor Klimek’s remarkable ministry into perpetuity by establishing the fund in his honor. Proceeds of the Monsignor Edmund Klimek Healing Presence Endowment Fund will support projects and programs representative of Monsignor’s life-touching ministry.

Projects funded through the endowment fund will be those expenses that fall outside the responsibility of Sacred Heart Hospital, not to fund current operating expenses, nor capital items. Proposals will be reviewed and selected based on funding guidelines developed with Monsignor Klimek and approved by the Friends of Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation Board. The Board is made up of community and hospital representatives. Activities funded by the endowment will be reported to donors on annual basis.
