In Partnership with Sacred Heart Hospital, the Volunteer Partners of Sacred Heart Hospital provide compassionate supportive services for patients, their families and hospital staff, promote community awareness of the Hospital mission and raise funds for Hospital needs.

Who are the Volunteer Partners?

The Volunteer Partners of Sacred Heart Hospital, in conjunction with the Volunteer Services Department, provide support for Sacred Heart Hospital’s community health and social functions, help to purchase vital equipment, assist in fundraising events and also operate the hospital’s Gift Shop.

The Volunteer Partners are governed by a board of elected officers and members who work together to recruit new volunteers and fulfill the Volunteer Partners mission.

The current Board of Directors has a combined total of 108 years of service. Last year the Volunteer Partners provided more than 44,000 hours of service and gifted $79,300 to support: The Healing Place: A Center for Life's Journeys, the colleague Tuition Assistance Grant Program and helped purchase vital hospital equipment not in the budget.

All volunteers with 50 hours or more are part of the Volunteer Partners and dues are not required, however donations are greatly appreciated and used to defray expenses for patients projects.

Activities include:  Spring and Fall luncheons, fundraising events, Gift Shop Sales, Love-Light Event, Christmas Tea and other Hospital projects.

Benefits include:  Board election rights, eligible to serve on the Board and hold leadership positions, invitations to hospital events, receive the Volunteer Partners newsletter, opportunity to attend the Partners of WHA District meetings and annual State conventions, plus the joy of giving!

The Volunteer Partners are part of the State Partners of WHA (Wisconsin Hospital Association) organization, which is dedicated to supporting healthcare volunteerism at hospital and healthcare facilities through the State. They provide education opportunities, leadership development and healthcare volunteer programming resources to members.

Volunteer positions are open to both men and women.
