Sacred Heart Hospital colleague receives UWEC’s Ihle Family Nursing Caring Award

Eau Claire, WI – Tari Kennedy, RN, MSN, APNP, CCRN, CNRN, an Advanced Practice Nurse and Clinical Education Specialist at Sacred Heart Hospital, was recently awarded the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Ihle Family Nursing Caring Award. Given through the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the award recognizes work with students and faculty in evidence-based practice over many years.

“Tari has served as a mentor and educator throughout much of her career,” said Amy Dwyer, RN, MSN, Chief Nursing Officer at Sacred Heart Hospital. “Her commitment to evidence-based practice and her nursing knowledge expertise make her a perfect choice for this award.”

A colleague of Sacred Heart for more than 38 years, Kennedy has served many roles throughout the hospital and community. She volunteers with the local chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and has served as Chapter President and Program Chair. In 2009, Kennedy received the Red Cross Health Care Hero Award, and she recently received Sacred Heart Hospital’s third annual Brain & Spine Institute Educational Endowment Award.
