Our communications department at Sacred Heart Hospital is responsible for communicating the mission and values of the hospital and accurate information about hospital programs and services to employees, patients and the general public. The department also handles all media inquiries, arranges interviews as requested and is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of media relations, community services/participation and communications via community publications and advertisements.
Working closely with hospital administration, our communications department assists in the development of effective communication strategies and materials and directs the hospital's participation in community events, including wellness fairs, first aid events, health screenings and fundraisers that benefit health-related organizations.
On May 12, Sacred Heart Hospital was awarded the Environmental Leadership Award at CleanMed, an international conference on environmentally sustainable healthcare, held this year in Baltimore.
Sacred Heart Hospital was named as a 2010 PRC “4-Star Hospital” for Medical Staff Perception at an awards luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. Hospital leaders from across the U.S. gathered to participate in the 2010 PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference hosted by Professional Research Consultants (PRC), Inc. PRC is a nationally-known healthcare marketing research company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
In July, Sacred Heart Hospital received the 2009 Governor’s Forward Award of Excellence, the highest achievement level possible under the Wisconsin Forward Award.
In July, Sacred Heart Hospital was recognized for achievement in using evidence-based guidelines to provide the best possible care to patients through The American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association’s Get With The GuidelinesSM program.
In May, Sacred Heart Hospital was awarded a 2009 Environmental Leadership Award (ELA) at CleanMed, the sixth international conference on environmentally sustainable healthcare held in Chicago.
In January, the hospital’s L.E. Philips comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation program earned a three-year accreditation renewal from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (C.A.R.F.).
