Joint Renew Camp

Our Joint Renew Camp is a free program designed to help you become more informed about your surgery. We want you to feel confident about your decision to have a joint replacement procedure. We stress getting you well and on the road to recovery at your own pace. Our goal is to get you back up on your feet and back to what you like to do most.

Topics covered include:

• Preoperative guidelines, including what to pack
• An overview of your surgery, so you know what to expect
• Anesthesia
• Pain control
• Medication
• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Discharge planning
• Recovery after your hospital stay

Anyone planning to have joint replacement surgery is welcome to register for this free program. Joint Renew Camp is held on Wednesdays in the Sacred Heart Hospital Community Auditorium. You and your coach (the person who will be helping you at home after your surgery) should plan to attend Joint Renew Camp two to three weeks prior to your surgery.
