The Healing Place

The Healing Place

A Center for Life’s Journeys

Change can be hard. It can also be a powerful healing force. It’s why The Healing Place is also considered a Center for Life’s Journeys. We offer free support services and educational programming for anyone experiencing life transition issues such as:

  • death
  • divorce or separation
  • illness/disability
  • unemployment or retirement
  • military deployment

History and Origin

The Healing Place was established in 1989 by the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis to commemorate the 100th year of Sacred Heart Hospital. The Center is an outreach service of the hospital’s Center for Spiritual Care and provides free services to anyone who needs help dealing with a major life transition.

Our trained counselors help people of all ages become active participants in their own healing process. We counsel individuals, coordinate support groups and provide educational opportunities for schools, churches and community organizations.

Our Mission

We’re here to provide a healing presence and guidance to those experiencing life transitions, and to offer education and support to agencies and surrounding communities regarding life transition issues.
