Sacred Heart Hospital announces Leaders of the Year for 2011

Eau Claire, Wis.,Sacred Heart Hospital is pleased to announce the hospital’s Leaders of the Year for 2011.

 

Deb Bloom, MT(ASCP), Laboratory Director, Hospital Sisters Health System Division (Western Wisconsin)—which represents Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls—was recognized for her leadership in implementing a Sacred Heart Laboratory redesign using LEAN principles. “Through this process, Deb demonstrated exemplary leadership skills that included conflict resolution, project management, and change management; and has set the direction necessary to create a divisional approach to the delivery of laboratory services,” said Faye Deich, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President Division Operation, HSHS Division (Western Wisconsin).

 

John VanDeVoort, Pharm. D., Pharmacy Director, Hospital Sisters Health System Division (Western Wisconsin), was recognized for his leadership in Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s hospitals’ MEDITECH electronic medical records implementation. “John is described as innovative and energetic by the HSHS leadership he works with and continually seeks process improvements,” said Deich. “He easily articulates the metrics he is working on and has a clear vision for the future of pharmacy services in our division.”


Sacred Heart Hospital’s Leader of the Year awards are given to outstanding hospital leaders who exceed expectations and meet challenges outside of the scope of their daily responsibilities. The hospital began awarding this recognition in 2000; this year marks the 11th year of the award.
