Sacred Heart Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living was created in 2005 to coordinate health and wellness initiatives in the Eau Claire area. We work for and with the community to bring area residents an assortment of classes, support services, health instruction and preventative education. All offerings are free or available for a nominal charge, which is a reflection of our mission to serve the community and deliver resources to individuals who need them. We also offer an employer wellness program designed to improve employee health, lower health care costs and reduce absenteeism, among other benefits.

Our Center takes a holistic approach to health, addressing a person’s body, mind and spirit, and our offerings reflect that same “whole person” mantra. From first aid classes to relaxation techniques to grief support networks, you will find that we cover the gamut. There is truly something to pique everyone’s interest and improve their well-being at our Center.

Spirit of Women

Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s are members of Spirit of Women, an elite coalition of American hospitals and health care providers that ascribe to high standards of excellence in women’s health, education and community outreach. Spirit of Women Hospitals touch the lives of millions of women each year through the presentation of educational events, consumer membership programs, annual conferences, marketing communications and grassroots efforts to improve the health and well-being of women everywhere. Spirit of Women enables participating hospitals to focus on community needs while providing the strength of national support. Sacred Heart Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital are the exclusive providers of Spirit of Women in northwest Wisconsin.

Walk With Spirit

Walking for Health. It's cheap. It's easy. And, it's good for you. So take a walk. The President's Council on Physical Fitness calls walking the most popular form of exercise. It may not get the attention of other physical activities but when it comes to sheer numbers, walking tops the list.

Workplace Wellness

With healthcare costs and insurance premiums continually rising, we believe the future of medicine lies in preventative care. That philosophy is the crux of our Workplace Wellness program.

Safe Kids Chippewa Valley

Safe Kids Chippewa Valley is committed to informing parents and children about injury prevention, targeting newborns to 14-year-olds. We offer individual and community education and collaborate with other agencies and advocacy groups to fulfill this mission.
