Sacred Heart Hospital offers advanced surgical care. Our department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can accommodate most any surgical need you may have. We operate on both children and adults, performing nearly 5,000 cases a year and spending approximately 10,000 hours annually in the operating room.

Our department houses eight operating suites and some of today’s most cutting-edge technology, including the da Vinci^® Surgical System, which our hospital acquired in 2006. The da Vinci^® system takes medicine beyond the limits of the surgeon’s hand and incorporates the latest advances in robotic-assisted technology to allow surgeons greater visualization and enhanced dexterity and precision. Our highly skilled surgical staff has received specialized da Vinci^® Surgical System training and assists in surgeries using this state-of-the-art system. 

We also offer state-of-the-art technology for brain and spine surgeries, and trauma with the addition of our intra-operative MRI Smart OR for brain tumors, and our intra-operative CT Smart OR for spinal surgery, trauma and many other specialties.

Our accomplished teams of physicians, surgical technologists, registered nurses, aides, central supply technicians and anesthesia technicians are dedicated to making your surgery experience as comfortable and personalized as possible.
