Our Technology

Premiere Emergency Care
While complications can be unnerving, you can take comfort in the fact that our expert team of doctors, midwives and nurses are fully equipped to handle any obstetrical situation that arises. When a Code C (an emergency Cesarean-Section) is called, our response is lightning-fast. In fact, our recent internal audit of duration from the decision to call a Code C to incision time revealed an average of 8 minutes, a stellar response that leads to excellent outcomes. Anesthesiologists have been so impressed at our
‘best-of-the-best practice’ that they have arranged for
us to share our procedure with other hospitals.

High Tech for Your Safety
We use some of the most innovative obstetrical technologies available including:

  • High tech meets high touch in our Maternity department. When needed, we provide care to babies with extraordinary needs in our Level II Special Care Nursery.

  • An infant safety and security system: Your baby’s safety is our highest priority. The hospital is equipped with the Secure Care infant protection system. A band placed around your baby’s ankle will sound an alarm if he or she comes too close to an exit. The technology locks down our doors and elevators if someone attempts to go through. For additional security and identification, parent bracelets are matched to Baby’s every time you are rejoined after a time apart.

  • Ultrasound technology, available in all labor-delivery-recovery rooms, to allow doctors to quickly check the well-being and position of your baby.

  • A central monitoring system that helps our staff keep a close eye on you and your baby, tracking each heartbeat and contraction. Nurses at the desk can see the data at all times and the system alerts them to any problems.

  • A noninvasive Bilicheck monitor measures bilirubin using light, a procedure that avoids needless Laboratory blood draws and expense (and it won’t even wake most sleeping babies).
