Safe Kids Chippewa Valley
Safe Kids Chippewa Valley is committed to informing parents and children about injury prevention, targeting newborns to 14-year-olds. We offer individual and community education and collaborate with other agencies and advocacy groups to fulfill this mission.
We are affiliated with Safe Kids Worldwide, the first and only international nonprofit organization dedicated solely to preventing unintentional childhood injury. Safe Kids Worldwide has more than 450 coalitions in 16 countries.
Safe Kids Chippewa Valley conducts monthly car seat safety checks throughout our service area. Parents can have their child's car seat inspected by a certified technician, and car seats will be checked for proper size and installation as well as any possible recalls. Parents can also have their older child's seat belt checked for correct fit. Additionally, Safe Kids Chippewa Valley provides special presentations to schools and community groups on topics such as water, bike and pedestrian safety. We also coordinate Safety Town, a comprehensive educational program introducing safety awareness and preventive procedures to children 4 to 6 years old.
