About Us
A cancer diagnosis can affect more than just your body. That’s why we believe it’s important to treat you as a whole person—mind, body and spirit.
Through our partnership with Marshfield Clinic, the Center for Cancer Treatment & Prevention at Sacred Heart Hospital and Marshfield Clinic Cancer Care offer complete, compassionate support services for patients and their families. Our skilled oncologists offer both medical and radiation therapies. Our on-site counselor is here to help you through the complex emotions that cancer brings, and our registered dietitian will ensure you’re keeping your body as strong as it can be as you undergo treatment.
We have experienced oncologists and offer sophisticated radiation therapies, such as IMRT, which can treat tumors previously considered untreatable. There is hope here.
Our center is unique because we offer a team approach to best meet your individualized needs. Our team consists of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, physician assistants/nurse practitioners, medical physicists, radiation therapists, oncology nurses, support service counselors, social workers, dietitians, medical assistants, and clerical support staff.
Our counselor can evaluate how you and your family are coping with your diagnosis, treatment and side effects. He or she will assess the need that you and your family may have for supportive counseling, stress management, relaxation/visualization/imagery, spiritual support, biofeedback, and education.
Appointments with a registered dietitian can be arranged through our center for patients who require nutritional assessment and/or education. A dietitian can provide an individualized plan to optimize healthy eating choices, as well as provide a variety of nutrition education materials and resources.
A social worker may provide assistance for you and your family at home, with financial concerns, insurance issues, Social Security disability, transportation needs, home care referrals, nursing home placement, or home equipment needs.
We also offer an American Cancer Society Navigator to assist cancer patients and those who care for them. Navigators are here to support you through your cancer journey. A navigator may also identify local and national resources available to assist with things such as patient and caregiver support networks, medical equipment, transportation (air and ground), lodging, wigs, head coverings and prostheses.
If you require hospitalization, our Oncology department provides specially trained nurses to assist you and your family in dealing with physical needs, as well as emotional responses to your cancer diagnosis and treatment.
We take pride in providing you with state-of-the-art cancer treatment and supportive care needs.
